Another white figher gets taken out by foreign minorities. My friends MMA in the US is going to take a dive soon, you know all what I have said in the past on the subject so not going to elaborate too much here.

To all the fake Koontas believers keep up the good work.

Koonta...who gives a flying fuck? No one. Your comments continue to be exhausting and idiotic. We just like MMA. Let it go. There are no Koonta believers or followers. Poor lil you have nothing better going on in your life? Just do us a favor and keep your hypothesis to's really old by now. I feel sorry for you, man.

Sucks that Browne hurt his knee, you can tell he wasn't able to throw any strikes.

to the Fake koonta @ October 5, 2012 11:42 PM

normally i(the real koonta) would totally disavow a statement by a fake koonta. but in this case i see a fan who is at least tightening up the message. so i give you a solid C+

a few things for the future though.

                1. don't say foreign minorities. it's too narrow. instead say foreigners AND minorities. it's an important distiction that broadens the field a bit. It gives a better indication of the size of the problem facing mma's future in america.

                2. don't say white fighter only. in this case it's too broad. say white and or american and or english speaker. it's cumbersome but it again broadens the the field. say white/american/english speaker if you want to shorten it

                3. don't say you're NOT going to elaborate. why? because i(the real koonta) may show up and actually elaborate. it will break the illusion that we are the same guy.

                4. if you're gonna spread the message read up on my points so you can elaborate. i would encourage you to read my work in the JJ vs vitor and the machida vs bader comment section for material.

Don't worry, Koonta. Because MMA is fairly new, the money is pretty shitty, thus attracting mostly subhumans. But, once the cash at stake is huge (in about 10 yrs.), the elite whites will step forward & dominate the sport.

look up the deffinition of minority. btw in my theory brazilians are BOTH minorities and foreigners. doubly bad for white american fans who only speak english

                Dear Koonta,

As most people see you as a troll, I do not.
So, I'm here to provide some conterpoints to your statements. I'll start out by saying that I am a white/American/MMA fan.

I've noticed you posting on videos to stir up people's emotions on their inherent racism. You claim that the sport will diminish as more and more foreigners and non-english speakers climb to the to top of the division. To me, that makes absolutely no sense.

People watch professional sports because they want to see the best of the best compete (others like it for team rivalry/city pride/or good ol' shtit talking/ etc.). But overall, people want to see what the best looks like.

They will continue to watch no matter who the best is. Do you think that whites stopped watching the NFL or the NBA because they were(are) dominated by blacks? the answer is no. People enjoy sports no matter who is on top. I think even you can understand that.

Fight fans enjoy a good fight no matter what. Are you telling me that you dont like to watch Junior Dos Santos, Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, or Renan Barao fight? I enjoy watching every single one of those champs fight. I know others feel how I do. Just my thoughts.

                @ chompsky

its not simply about foreigners and non-english speakers climbing to the's also not only about racism. i believe in the coming decades white/american/english speaking fighters will become near extinct in the whole of ufc. there will be a few here and there like you see in boxing but generally the sport will be percieved and "foreigner and minority dominated." now as this process happens i believe foreigners and minorities will replace some of those exiting fans. but i believe the transition will still shrink the sport within america.

people tend to become fans of people they can identify with. human nature being what it is this means that some white american fans will bail once people like them become scarce in the sport. this is an issue in a lot of sports. a few years ago the LPGA required that players learn english. They tried to do this because they saw the danger korean dominance would mean to the sport. look at other sports that have limited popularity among white american english speakers such as soccer and boxing.

neither the NBA or NFL are international organizations/sports. they are national sports where the vast majority of the athletes are american and they speak english. therefore those sports are dominated by americans. americans love a winner, especially a winner that they can relate to.

now i'm not saying 100% of the white american fan base will disapear. but i think a sizable chunk will. we might call them the casual fans. and btw i'm not in that chunk. you are one of the hardcore fans which will remain.

now there are other factors that i see will also contribute to the drop in mma's popularity that are not related to race/language or nationality. but i have rarely gotten into those on this site

                we JUST DON'T CARE.

if you want to open eyes about the subject of race in mma or sports go write a blog. no one here seems to care and i have no idea why you waste your time posting here.

Honestly, I know that people want their like kind to win. Obviously if you have more in common with the athlete, then you are more willng to watch. But just think about events such as the Olympics. That is one of the most watched events in America. You think people were turning their TV's off when Usain Bolt was racing? of course not. Other factors such as oversaturation, injuries, weak cards, cancelled events etc are much more likely to diminsh the UFC's popularity.

@Koonta - You are a sad person dude, no one really cares about the race of which fighters are winning. Stop wasting your time and do something meaningful with your life. Your point of view is already a thing of the past, you might as well not even exist because your thoughts do not hold weight in the real world.

Koonta, love the points, love the breakdown.

the points you make are already in effect: years ago, the UFC was a bastion of headbanging metal types. That all ended with the Iceman. Now, the highest profile names are guys like Silva and Jones. Not coincidentally, these guys are now "bad guys". Unfortunately for the pissy fans, you can't assail either guy on their skill or intelligence. they are simply the best in eery facet.

Hence the pining for a cheater like Chael to dethrone Silva. Didn't happen. i think white folks might hang on, but they'll do so begrudginly as they do in the NBA, looking for any opportunity to express misplaced contempt and angst.
